Corpus cristi homes for sale- why do so many that I look at have ceramic or stone tile pretty much everywhere?

it's the builders. i assume you are talking about the houses off of staples in the newer section as well as airline. the southside of c.c. is ever expanding and the cost to use the stone/tile is cheaper thus selling the house cheaper. plus....it's hurricane prone...although we haven't seen one it quite some time, so building with a tougher stone is better in the long run.

i now live in kingsville but used to live in corpus christi and i think it's a great place to raise a family. good luck to you. if you want, i'll give you my email if you need further help. i'll check back. =)Corpus cristi homes for sale- why do so many that I look at have ceramic or stone tile pretty much everywhere?
Ceramic and stone are water and heat resistant. Water and heat seem to be pretty common in Corpus Cristi, so this kind of makes sense. Humidity can cause problems with wood and other building materials, and in areas that rarely freeze insects like termites can be a problem. The ceramic and stone also address both of these problems.

In the long run, tile can be more economical for developers to use. If looks nicer, lasts longer, and can get them higher prices for the homes, so they like to use if for these reasons too.Corpus cristi homes for sale- why do so many that I look at have ceramic or stone tile pretty much everywhere?
This is the ';in'; thing. It is what sells houses. It is not for everyone, but the majority wins.
It's the climate. No different than the south or the desert regions. Stone, porcelains and tiles are so much more humdity resistant. It's a wise choice. It's also beautiful.
