Why are there so many homes for sale in South Elgin ? Is this a bad area?

It is really not a bad area. I am from St. Charles a neighboring city. The main issue with South Elgin is they have put up a lot of nice, but affordable homes to bring in a younger population. It seems now these couples are getting older, they do not want to send their children to the Elgin public school system which is not the best. They are moving to close by communities with a better reputation for education. It is not a bad place to live if you do not have children of school ageWhy are there so many homes for sale in South Elgin ? Is this a bad area?
Elgin, kind of old, not much happens there.

People are moving to Schaumburg, South Barrington, Hoffman Estates.

There are a lot of Immigrants too living in these areas and the community college is doing a good job compared to others.

You can see how Harper grew within these few years compared to other community colleges. Why are there so many homes for sale in South Elgin ? Is this a bad area?
